Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Before a session begins
The session method, scheduled duration and price are shown before checkout. Scheduled-session cancellation and rescheduling rules shown at booking are part of the purchase terms for that session.
2. Live services already provided
Because a live reading is a time-based service delivered by an independent Reader, disappointment with a prediction, interpretation or personal connection does not qualify for a refund.
3. Technical failures and service problems
Qualifying failed connections that prevent an unstarted paid reading are automatically refunded in full. A technical problem after a reading connects may require review of the affected service and may result in a full refund, partial refund or other applicable remedy.
4. Reader no-show or cancellation
A qualifying Reader no-show is automatically refunded in full; customers do not need to request a refund for that no-show. Reader cancellations are handled under the disclosed booking rules.
Client appointment no-shows
For scheduled phone, text and video appointments, clients agree to an exact minimum-session fee before payment. If the reader attends and the client does not, we retain the reader’s shortest priced session amount offered at booking, capped at the amount paid, and refund the rest. Phone readings receive three total call attempts. Text and video clients have five minutes after the scheduled start to join. No client no-show fee applies if the reader is absent or a platform or calling-service problem prevents connection. Contact support if you experienced a connection problem.
5. Promotional and free-minute value
Promotional credits and Reader-granted free minutes have no cash value and are not refundable to a payment method except where required by law. Expiration rules shown with an offer apply.
6. Chargebacks and abuse
We may investigate duplicate claims, chargebacks, fraud or misuse of courtesy credits. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Who sends a refund, and what happens to Reader earnings?
Star of Danu processes customer refunds. Readers do not send money directly to customers or arrange off-platform repayments. A payment made by card is refunded through the original payment method. A reading paid from My Balance is refunded to My Balance. Promotional value has no cash refund value.
When a payment is refunded, the reading's earnings are recalculated from the money remaining after the refund and applicable actual processing and communication fees. The remaining net earnings are split 70% to the Reader and 30% to Star of Danu. A full refund leaves no Reader earnings or Star of Danu earnings from that refunded payment. Fees that cannot be covered by the retained payment are borne by Star of Danu.
Before payout, the Reader's unpaid earnings are adjusted in the account ledger. If a payout has already been allocated or transferred, the refund and any permitted recovery require administrator review under the accepted Reader Agreement and applicable requirements. The Dispute Resolution Center does not automatically reverse a transferred payout or debit a Reader's bank account. The Reader receives a recorded explanation of a case decision and may use the private case response or appeal process.
When refunds happen
- A Reader does not connect or show up: qualifying unstarted paid sessions receive an automatic full refund through the connection-failure workflow. Customers do not need to file a dispute to obtain that automatic refund.
- Advance customer cancellation: the cancellation window disclosed at booking governs the automatic refund. The standard window is 24 hours or more before the appointment. Cancellations less than the disclosed number of hours before the appointment require review under the booking terms.
- A completed reading has a service problem: Star of Danu reviews the session records and both parties' accounts, records an evidence-based decision, and may approve a full refund, partial refund or no refund for the documented affected service. A report alone is not a finding of fault.
- A customer leaves a connected reading early: If you choose to leave a connected reading early, your payment is not refundable. Voluntarily ending your reading early does not qualify for a refund.
- A customer misses an appointment: the disclosed client no-show minimum and refund of the remainder apply only when their qualifying booking and attendance requirements are met.
Buying additional time may help explain the timeline; it is not, by itself, proof that no problem occurred or an automatic reason to deny a refund. Disappointment with a prediction or interpretation does not qualify for a refund. Payment-provider pending or failed refunds remain tracked for follow-up; a pending refund is not a completed refund.
Customer credit — for future readings
A customer credit is an optional credit added to your My Balance for future Sacred Reader readings. It is not a refund to your credit card or bank account. We offer it only after you agree to the exact amount and understand how it can be used.
Customer credits do not have an expiry date in the current wallet feature. They cannot be transferred or withdrawn as cash except where required by law. Purchased balance funds and customer courtesy credits are recorded separately in your Balance Activity.
Choosing a customer credit does not remove any non-waivable rights or replace a refund due under our existing policy. Card refunds return to the original payment method; refunds of readings paid from My Balance return to My Balance. An optional courtesy customer credit is funded by Star of Danu and does not reduce the reader’s earnings from the original reading.
