Privacy is sacred here.

Star of Danu is designed as a private place for reflection. We collect only the information needed to provide accounts, saved Journal experiences, site analytics, optional email updates, and paid services when available.

Information you provide

When you create an account, we may collect your name, username, email address, and account credentials. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords. If you choose to save Journal entries to your account, those saved entries and Journal preferences are stored so you can return to them.

If you voluntarily opt in to email updates, we also record that choice and the date of consent. Marketing email consent is optional and is not required to create an account.

Reading and site analytics

We may collect basic site and usage information such as pages visited, visit duration, referring site or campaign source, reading type, and deck selected. Our reading analytics are designed not to store the text of your question or the interpretation generated for you.

Payments

When paid features are available, payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. Star of Danu does not need to store your full payment-card number to provide those services.

How information is used

We use information to operate your account, save and restore your Journal, provide requested services, understand how the site is used, improve the experience, prevent abuse, and send optional communications you have chosen to receive.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may use service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, or process payments for the site, and we may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
