Brigid: one name carried across different worlds
Brigid appears in medieval Irish myth among the Tuatha Dé Danann, while St Brigid of Kildare became one of Ireland's great Christian saints. Later tradition gathers fire, healing, protection, wells and the opening of spring around the name Brigid.
The overlap is extraordinary, but it is more careful to describe traditions becoming deeply interwoven than to claim a simple one-to-one conversion from goddess to saint.
