Sacred Reader Background Screening Requirement
1. Why screening occurs
A background screening is required before final approval as a Sacred Reader. Star of Danu uses a third-party consumer reporting agency so the screening can be completed securely and separately from the Star of Danu application.
2. Sequence
The intended process is application, interview/sample reading, conditional approval, legally required disclosure and authorization, screening, individualized review where appropriate, final approval, Reader account onboarding, profile approval and then publication.
3. Sensitive information
Star of Danu is designed not to collect or store Social Security numbers, identity-document images or similar screening credentials when the screening provider can collect them directly through its secure system. Star of Danu may retain operational metadata such as provider reference, status, dates, decision code and limited admin notes.
4. No blanket criminal-record rule
A record does not automatically result in rejection. Where applicable, decisions should consider the nature and gravity of relevant conduct, the time elapsed, the responsibilities and risks of the Reader role, accuracy of the record and information the individual is permitted to provide.
5. Consumer-report rights
When the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar law applies, Star of Danu will follow applicable disclosure, authorization, pre-adverse and adverse-action requirements. Additional state or local notices may apply.
6. Provider
Star of Danu intends to use an approved third-party consumer reporting agency for this process. The provider may deliver its own notices, consent forms, identity verification, dispute procedures and legally required consumer-rights materials. The named provider may change if service availability, legal requirements or platform needs change.
